Good morning,
I wanted to share with you possibly one of the top photographed AND copied lights around town. I am referring to the Random Light by Moooi.
The real deal is made of fiber glass dipped in an epoxy and woven around a balloon forming a hard shell. This unintrusive mass appears to float in mid air making such a statement that it's not hard to see why this light has been a best seller since its release in 2002.
It comes in black and white in 3 sizes 19.7", 31.5" and 41.3". It also comes with a very hefty price tag starting at around $600 for the small and going much higher with the sizes. With that said, it's understandable why the popular DIY string lights have taken the blog and design world by storm.
I wanted to write however that there's just nothing like the real deal. The light hanging kit and non-sagging of the Random Light is unparallelled by its crafty DIY brothers and sisters. It is a true design gem, and I can't wait to see it in my Modern Organic project coming soon.
